Christina and I had been talking about shibari and working with ropes for a couple of days by the time she came over for a late-night shoot in early November 2019. We had shot for the first time a couple weeks earlier and realized we share a vision for creating art. Her enthusiasm and willingness to experiment made the shoot one to remember.
Shibari has always been of interest to me, both for the technical work involved in doing it, plus the texture / patterns it creates on the skin (with the rope itself and the pressure marks left on the skin afterwards). She expressed an interest in doing a follow-up shoot using ropes, so we planned another get together and decided to go with something relatively easy but still beautiful – the star harness with arm bind.
There were so many good shots from this one, it was a challenge to pick only four each. I’m sure more will be shared soon.
Four of these are Christina’s favorites, four of them are mine.
