Julia came by and shot with me at the beginning of November 2019. It’s always amazing when folks with no prior experience come in the studio and just let loose with their confident selves. Julia was definitely one of those people, and we spent several hours talking and exploring and shooting art to great results. A followup shoot with this powerful woman is already on the calendar, but for now, here’s a few from that first shoot.
The first shot is on Kodak 5222 35mm film taken through a Nikon F100. Shots 2-4 are on a roll of expired Ilford Delta 400 medium format film (exp. date 2004) – this roll must have been stored properly as the results are quite nice, despite being a little bit faded and grainier than this film normally presents. Shots 5-8 are digital, taken with my Pentax K-3 II.
Four of these are her favorites, four of them are mine.
Artistically beautiful
Superb use of light!
Happy Holidays!!
