This shoot from early 2019 was a whirlwind. Ayeonna and I chose this AirBnB primarily for the bathroom – the tub, the checkerboard tile, how spaceous it appeared, the lighting all around – and it was absolutely a gorgeous location. What made it a whirlwind was the amount of work we had to do in order to make it happen.
A lot of equipment (cameras, lighting, etc.) had to be brought in, and when we arrived, we were floored: the bathroom was the largest of the two rooms. The main room / bedroom, was actually what you walked into when you opened the door, and the door almost hits the huge queen-sized bed. There was almost literally no room to walk, and maneuvering was challenging.
But at the end of 6-7 hours of arranging and shooting, we ended up with some pretty kickass photos to show for it.
These are some of our favorites, and include a Polaroid / Fuji negative scan, Kodak 5222 B&W film, and digital.
As always,
