Perhaps the best ‘prop’ I’ve ever bought for use with photography has been my 1920’s era clawfoot tub. It was found at an estate sale in early 2019 and I snagged the thing for $100, a steal. A friend helped me get it back to the house and I spent a couple weeks stripping it and repainting it, as well as getting the rust off of the feet, priming and repainting those as well. The results were amazing and the shooting began in earnest.
In October 2020, Zoe came over and we did a half-inside / half-outside shoot that started in the tub. Please note: the tub is beautiful, but Zoe is absolutely gorgeous and far outshines any clawfoot bathtub.
Here are some favorites from that entire shoot.
