“Exact details evade me, but I do remember the uncanny progression of shared ideas that led to these shots. I had seen a photo of Scott’s where the model was peeling tape off her body and her skin showed reluctance to part with it. After showing interest, Scott wanted to know what about this picture grabbed my attention.”
As if it wasn’t obvious.
The pull of the skin had me captivated.
So next time we shot he pulled out his array of tapes and we both decided white would be most suiting. Even more quickly and almost in unison we decided how we would lay out the tape on my body.”
“Although my skin was restricted and bound, I felt much more expansive and eager to move. I immediately started experimenting with bending and twisting, feeling immensely more comfortable than I had just moments before when I was entirely bare. Soft protrusions of flesh formed between the tape, creating rounded peaks and harsh valleys.”
“The distortion made for some extraordinary illusions, and being distorted gave me an entirely new experience to reflect on.”
