From a shoot back in the summer of 2021.
I love the simplicity of these two photos. I love to work with rope, but I don’t get much of a chance, and I’m not very good with it when I do.
But with this one?
I love the lines, the knot, the pressure marks from where we moved the rope to make it less uncomfortable. I love the softness of the shot even against a rough rope and rough connotation of being tied up.
The second shot is cool to me in part because of the fact that I ran out of rope and had to extend it – that extension loop and it’s perfect, but unplanned, placement and the way everything flows…
I also like that these two photos are generally not sexual in nature, or at least they weren’t intended to be. They’re simply good photos with rope and good light and lines and flow against the soft porcelain skin of the model.
